There are 2 species of Xeronema one from the Poor Knights Islands off New Zealand the other X moorei is from New Caledonia. This plant was around 8 years old. Kept frost free in a greenhouse for the winter and put outside in the summer. Easy to grow as long as care is taken over watering, too much water (especially in the winter) and the fleshy roots will rot. After flowering this plant made plenty of good seed but it's a long haul to get them to flowering size.
