This stunning plant is worth tracking down. Shrubby in habit and not to fussy about soil type (pH). Will take some cold but not sure how much.
In the nursery trade its still known as Michelia yunnanensis but now Michelia has all but gone and moved to Magnolia the correct and accepted name is Magnolia laevifolia. The reason its not Magnolia yunnanensis is because there already is a tree with the name Magnolia yunnanensis. I must admit it had me puzzled for a while.
