Pinus devoniana and Pinus montezumae are very closely related and difficult to distinguish - shown here are the two species together in detail - needles - winter bud - twig detail - new growth. Unfortunately no cone shots and they were cultivated plants. Montezumae can have bluer needles (the upper one is montezumae).
