Sown in early spring the seed germinated very quickly giving me around 50 seedlings. I potted them on in a very well drained compost with lots of seramis, perlite and some loam.
Coming from higher altitudes in New Zealand I knew summer heat may give problems so I kept them as cool as I could. However, despite all the care lavished on them the mortality rate was high and there are now less than 10 survivors.
